Strava Leagues is a project that I have worked on with a group of friends. The site isn't connected to Strava but does use their api for users data.
Strava Leagues enables Strava users to race and compete against each other on rounds of segments. The winner and two runners up of each segment then get points which are totalled up in a group league table.
I have helped on the design and user flow for this project which is on-going.
Co-operative Lunch To Go was set up to allow customers in areas around stores to order their lunch online and then pick up in their local store. The website that we were tasked to create was to be used as a trial at the Exhall Food store in Coventry with a view to roll it out to other stores in the future.
My role in the project was to design to website and build the HTML and CSS to then plug in ASP.NET functionality to send the orders through to the store.
The original brief was to create a web only standard website as we only had 4 days to get the site live. Although time was precious, I decided to create the website responsive as the end users were more likely to want to order their lunch ‘on the go’ on their mobile devices rather than on a desktop.
The time allocated was split into 1.5 days design and 2.5 days build with a few extra developments being added later.
I was really pleased with the end result which you can see at www.co-operativelunchtogo.co.uk

The Co-operative Childcare was formed in 2004 and had just 6 nurseries. In 2014 it now has 48 and is still expanding nationwide. Since 2004 the business website has changed numerous times until it was built on the EpiServer CMS platform in early 2013. The website had been built fairly quickly and as a result of many changes, the homepage had started to look messy and off-putting for users. I was asked to create a new homepage design bearing in mind that the structure of how the website was built would not change – this meant no responsive design for now.
The design I came up with was to clean the homepage up and use flat colours with white space and nice in house imagery. The ‘Find your local nursery’ search area was easily missed on the old design and I decided to bring this to life and have it as a main feature on the new page.
Even though i haven't worked for The Co-operative since 2014, the design is still being used 2 years later.
